Description:

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is popular for its astonishing Himalayas range, diverse culture, and landscape, along with varieties of flora and fauna. Your trip journey begins on the first day in Kathmandu. Here you can go for a tour of UNESCO heritage sites that resemble Nepal’s rich history. The next day, you have an early morning flight (25 minutes) to Lake City, Pokhara. You drive 3 hours from Pokhara to reach Kimchi via Naya Pul. Your Annapurna trek officially starts from Kimchi.

The ABC trail goes alongside the paddy field, lush rhododendron forests, pine forests, waterfalls, and high-altitude landscapes. You will also visit Machhapuchhree Base Camp (Mt. Fishtail) on the way, adorned for its unique beauty by adventure lovers.

Annapurna Base Camp is at an altitude of 4095 meters/67,160 ft. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is less intense than the Everest Base Camp Trek. Therefore, ABC trekking can be done without prior experience. However, you need to be smart to choose an ideal itinerary based on your speed and time. Anyone, no problem, we are here to help you.

After a delightful breakfast, you’ll embark on a 30-minute scenic flight to Pokhara, offering majestic views of the mountains along the way.

Upon landing, we’ll head to Kimchi, the starting point of the trek. Your ascent of 2 hours will lead you to Ghandruk, a charming Gurung community. If time permits, we’ll visit the Gurung museum to learn about the ethnic culture of Nepal.

  A Trek Through Himalayan Vistas Today, We start our trek with a walk through terraced fields, ascending to Kimrong Dada, where you can enjoy stunning Himalayan vistas. After crossing a bridge, a stone staircase will take you to the Gurung village of Chhomrong, offering splendid views of the Annapurna massif.

Descend and Reconnect with Nature Bid farewell to the warmth of Chhomrong as you descend 2,500 stone stairs and cross a suspension bridge. The trail leads you through a bamboo, oak, and rhododendron forest until you reach the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) office at Kuldhigar. A comfortable descent will bring you to Bamboo village, a popular spot for trekkers.

Witness the Majesty of Glacier Rivers Today’s trek begins with a walk through thick bamboo thickets, making this portion of the trail cooler. As you ascend, the Himalaya Hotel presents breathtaking views of the glacier river flowing down the valley. Further uphill, you’ll reach Hinku Cave and later arrive at Deurali.

Annapurna Base Camp is moderate to difficult trek. In some section, the route is steep and filled with steps. While preparing for the trek, you need to train on steps up and down. It will be fruitful at the time you hit the path. Excellent health condition with physical condition will make the trip joyful for you.

Annapurna Base Camp is a beautiful trekking in the central–western part of Nepal. The highest point to reach on Annapurna trek is 4, 131 m/1,3550 ft.

The Annapurna Base Camp is accessible from several trailheads. Thus, depending on the route and acclimatization days use, you can do the ABC trek in between 8-12 days timeframe. Our itinerary is carefully crafted using the proper acclimatization.

Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp have variable routes and landscapes. Both take you to Nepalese Himalayas, however different in many aspects, including the accessibility. Annapurna Base Camp is known for easy access from Kathmandu as you can drive or fly to Pokhara. Everest Base Camp to can be done both using flight and trekking. However, you will need one week more than usual EBC 14 days itinerary. The altitudes you reach on ABC trek is 4,131 m while EBC trek you reach 5,545. Thus, height wise too EBC trek is more challenging than EBC trek.
